Cat & Adam’s Wedding

I’ve been fortunate to know Adam & Cat since they first started dating.  Adam and I used to work together!  I can’t think of a couple better suited to each other than these two.  They both have such amazing personalities and outlooks on life that compliment the other so well.

The day started at Sunnyside Pavilion on August 10, 2013 for the Ceremony.  The weather that day couldn’t have been more perfect.  Gorgeous sun.  A light breeze.  The Pavilion is simply stunning with the rustic concrete structure and the blowing white ceiling drapes.  Decor was kept very simple in order to not take away from the sprawling view of Lake Ontario.  Simple baby’s breath arrangements in galvanized cans lined the stairway leading to the aisle, white wood folding chairs and white linens on the outdoor tables.

After a brief reception at Sunnyside, guests headed to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) for the reception.  Cocktails were had on the outdoor terrace and dinner was served in the expansive Kobayashi Hall.  Centerpieces were kept rustic with varying sizes and colours of empty bottles and individual stems of flowers in each.  All of the details of this incredible wedding were  a labour of love.  It was all hands on deck as items were hand made by various family members with exceptional talents.

The JCCC is a hidden gem of a venue in the Eglinton East/DVP area…super flexible, many unique spaces and amazing staff.

It was a long day from start to finish, but in the end the couple was thrilled with the results, and the guests danced the night away.

Adam & Cat, thank you for having CHARCOAL EVENTS a part of your very memorable day.
