Heather’s Bridal Shower

CHARCOAL EVENTS was approached to help design and coordinate a bridal shower for an upcoming bride-to-be.  The event was held in a private condo party room in the afternoon in downtown Toronto and hosted approximately 35 guests.  The bride-to-be is a huge fan of the Montreal Canadiens.  So, we decided to create a sophisticated take on the Montreal Canadiens (no jersey’s allowed!).  The colour scheme is what started it all…navy blue and red.  Completely non-traditional colours for a bridal shower…and even more opposite to the brides wedding colours.  We thought to honour the bride and cater to something we knew she would love.

The invitations were custom designed and printed with the navy and red chevron pattern.  The motif was carried into the custom designed linens that were used as well.  Subtle accents of the theme made their way through all of the elements of the afternoon.  We had a make your own mimosa bar as the signature drink (side note…mimosa’s with pomegranate juice…are a huge hit) and delicioius hors d’oeuvres on trays in the kitchen area.

Some fun bridal shower games were designed and the guests had ample time to mix and mingle before, during, and after the gift opening.  The bride shed some tears (of joy) and had a fabulous time.  Congratulations on your upcoming wedding Heather!
