CHARCOAL EVENTS was contacted by Taylor and Dave to be their month of wedding coordinator. They already had a lot of their ideas put together but needed some assistance in bringing it all together. We also played a large role as a liaison with the venue to sort through seating, menu, and general logistics.

One of the biggest issues we faced was the large guest count and brainstorming a solution with having the ceremony and the reception in the same studio space. Contracting a secondary space for the ceremony was not an option as the couple did not want to have to decorate two spaces…especially when the ceremony was only going to be about 20-30 minutes long, it just didn’t make sense.

The compromise was a seated ceremony. This meant that the guests would be seated in their reception seats throughout the ceremony and also meant that there was no longer a need for the venue staff to have to do a flip during cocktail hour meaning the tables could be completely set up.

On the day of their wedding there was gorgeous sun (despite being a bit chilly) which made for some really incredible photos. And the day wouldn’t have been complete without a custom whiskey bar and a late night buffet from Wendy’s…chicken nuggets anyone?
